Mr. Olympia and Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal 2026 Recap: Results, Biggest Moments, and REIGN Athlete Performances

Two championships, two coasts, three shared days. Here is what actually happened, who delivered, and what fans on the ground got to see.

At a Glance
Two of the biggest weekends in fitness ran on the same three days. Mr. Olympia 2026 was September 24 to 27 in Las Vegas, where Nick Walker won the Open title. Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal was September 25 to 27 at Huntington Beach Pier, where REIGN athlete Danielle Brandon and Team Outcast won the first Battle of the Camps. Here are the results, the moments, and what fans experienced on the ground.

One weekend that asked for everything, twice
Fitness has a way of collapsing a whole year into a handful of days. This September it did it twice at once, about 270 miles apart.

Mr. Olympia opened first, September 24 to 27 in Las Vegas, with the expo and prejudging at the Las Vegas Convention Center and finals at the Orleans Arena. Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal started a day later and finished on the same Sunday, September 25 to 27 at Huntington Beach Pier, three days of functional fitness outdoors with more than 1,500 athletes from at least 40 countries.

Two championships, two very different tests, and one shared weekend. Everything shown on either floor was built months earlier in rooms nobody was watching.

How Mr. Olympia 2026 played out
The Olympia weekend crowns champions across ten divisions, and the open class that gives the event its name is only part of the story. Prejudging is where placings get settled. Finals are where they get announced.

Nick Walker claimed his first Mr. Olympia Men's Open title, with Samson Dauda second and Derek Lunsford third. On Friday night, Niall Darwen won Classic Physique, Mike Sommerfeld placed second, and Ramon Rocha Queiroz, known as Ramon Dino, placed third. REIGN athlete Hafthor Bjornsson presented Ramon with the third-place award, bringing the brand from the expo floor onto the Olympia stage.

How Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal 2026 played out
The SoCal format is cumulative, which means the leaderboard after day one tells you very little. Add an open beach and a coastal wind, and pacing becomes its own event.

2026 also brought a new team format. Battle of the Camps replaced the old United States against the world matchup, putting training camps against each other instead of countries.

REIGN athlete Danielle Brandon and Team Outcast claimed first place, followed by Team PRVN in second, Training Think Tank in third, and Brute in fourth. The result was anything but expected. Despite Team Outcast being brought in as a wildcard squad with no established training camp behind it, Brandon and her teammates began Saturday tied for second, then won three workouts to take the overall lead with four events left. They held that lead through the final day of a demanding 11-workout format that tested depth, teamwork, and strategy, and they came away with the $120,000 first-place prize, worth $20,000 for each of the team's six athletes.

Where the weekend separated the field
Both events reward the same trait from opposite directions. Olympia asked whether a competitor timed a year of work to peak on one specific Saturday. Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal asked whether a competitor could still perform on day three after two days of damage.

One is a single answer delivered once. The other is the same answer delivered repeatedly until somebody runs out.

REIGN on the ground: Las Vegas
REIGN ran a 40 by 40 island booth in the South Hall at the Olympia World Fitness Expo, with digital walls and sampling across the full flavor lineup on Friday and Saturday. The team poured more than 8,500 samples across the two days.

Hafthor Bjornsson anchored the Las Vegas activation. Fans had four scheduled chances to meet him at the REIGN booth, with sessions from 10 to 11 a.m. and 1 to 2 p.m. on both Friday and Saturday, and lines formed more than an hour in advance each time. A scratch-and-win promotion featuring REIGN merchandise crowned two grand prize winners, one Friday and one Saturday.

REIGN on the ground: Huntington Beach
At the pier, REIGN ran a 60 by 40 activation in the expo for all three days. The team poured more than 13,500 samples across the weekend. Booth programming included a Keg Walk Challenge, athlete meet-and-greets, and a REIGN apparel giveaway.

The athlete signings drew their own crowds. Alexis Raptis and Danielle Brandon signed Saturday from 3 to 4 p.m. Dallin Pepper, Jayson Hopper, and Anikha Greer appeared Sunday from 1:30 to 2:30 p.m. Fans lined up early at both events for the chance to meet REIGN athletes, taking photos and collecting autographs on hats, shoes, REIGN cans, and more.

Across both Olympia and Gymreapers Wodapalooza SoCal, REIGN gave away more than 2,000 branded items.

Why these events matter
A sport needs a weekend where the stakes are agreed on. Otherwise the training is just training, and nobody has a date to work backward from.

Mr. Olympia has carried that role for bodybuilding since 1965. Whatever happens on that stage becomes the reference point for the next twelve months of preparation.

Wodapalooza matters for a different reason. It puts elite athletes and everyday ones on the same sand in the same weekend, which almost no other sport manages. The SoCal edition brought that to the West Coast in 2024, and in 2026 it pulled strongman, weightlifting, and functional fitness into one footprint at Huntington Beach.

For REIGN, being at both is less about visibility and more about proximity. These were the three days where the people who take this seriously all ended up in the same two places.
